AnyDetect

Portable Real-Time
Isothermal Amplifier

With the development of AnyDetect, a genetic test that used to take several days for a definitive diagnosis by sending it to a specialized laboratory, even unskilled workers can easily test it on the spot.

DNA/RNA isothermal amplification device employing LAMP method

Any Detect is a general-purpose equipment that can apply all isothermal amplification technologies such as LAMP and RPA, and it is equipped with an amplification reaction unit and a detection unit to interpret the results in real time.

Positive
Negative

Shows the results of testing positive samples and negative controls with our LAMP kit that can detect O157 E. coli. In the positive sample, an amplification signal appeared from around 23 minutes (red arrow), whereas in the negative control group, no amplification signal was formed until the reaction was completed (blue arrow).

Campylobacter

Our LAMP kit test results are shown for standard samples serially diluted with Campylobacter bacteria. For 1,000 copies, the amplification signal appears from about 25 minutes after the start of the reaction, for 500 copies, around 32 minutes, and for 100 copies, the amplification signal appears around 39 minutes. In particular, it can be seen that the amplification signal is confirmed around 45 minutes even when reacting with a trace sample of 10 copies.

FAQ

Q. What kind of amplification technology can AnyDetect apply to?

A. Any isothermal amplification method that reacts at a temperature within the operating range of 40-80 degrees is applicable. In particular, we are providing various test kits for the LAMP test method.

Q. How should the sample be prepared?

A. Compared to other test methods, our LAMP kit is more tolerant of inhibitors and can be applied without purification. However, to ensure high specificity and sensitivity, it is recommended to use DNA/RNA separated/purified by column or bead method.

Q. How long does detection take?

The time taken for the amplification reaction can be fast or slow because it is affected by various factors such as the amount of the sample, the purity of the sample, and the external environment. The LAMP kits we provide are optimized to confirm results, typically within 10 to 40 minutes.

Q. How can the positive result of the target be confirmed?

When an amplification reaction occurs in a positive sample through our LAMP kit, the degree of turbidity becomes severe, and the presence or absence of positive/negative is checked through the detection unit of AnyDetect, which can detect turbidity in real time.

Q. What is the difference between PCR test and LAMP test?

PCR requires thermal cycling, whereas LAMP reacts at a single temperature, allowing for miniaturization of the device and good portability. While PCR increases amplification products by a factor of two for each reaction cycle, LAMP produces more amplification products in the same time as there is no limit to this. In the case of the actual LAMP test, it is often possible to determine the result within 15 minutes. In addition, the LAMP test method has the advantage of being less restrictive in sample preparation because it is more tolerant of reaction inhibitors than PCR.
